Have you looked in the mirror recently?

How stupid do they think we are?

Really, do the great and good have such a poor opinion of us that they think we’ll swallow any old rubbish they care to pump our way?

Former IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn has been detained for questioning by French police investigating a prostitution ring.

Mr Strauss-Kahn, once a front-runner for the French presidency, could be held for 48 hours at a police station in Lille, northern France.

Investigators have already questioned a number of prostitutes who have admitted having sex with Mr Strauss-Kahn.

He insists he did not know that the women were prostitutes.

“I challenge you to distinguish a naked prostitute from any other naked woman,” his lawyer Henri Leclerc has told French television.

Really Dominique? Really? You didn’t know they were prostitutes?

Let’s look at the evidence shall we?

You:

Parisian tart:

So you say to yourself, ‘Say, she’s a nice looking girl, wouldn’t it be great if. . .’ And then the next thing you know you’re doing the horizontal hula.

The details emerging of these ‘parties’ at the Carlton in Lille seem pretty tawdry, it puts me in mind of some of the scenes from Boardwalk Empire, where all the great and good from Atlantic City know perfectly well that the young lady who is seemingly surgically attached to the end of their spam javelin is doing it for cash.

Really, do you think lithe French young ladies nosh off you and your mates because you are all so fantastically enchanting and attractive? Is there nothing more enticing than some portly middle-aged businessman with his silk boxers round his ankles? Jesus, man, have some respect if not for us or the young ladies, then for yourself. How do you feel having used these women, do you feel good about yourself? Do you feel a warm glow of physical, emotional and spiritual satisfaction?

Power is an aphrodisiac, I get that, but it leads to John Major and Edwina Currie, not to some courtesans looking like they’ve jumped from the pages of Vogue coming round en masse so they can service you and your mates.

That the whole New York chambermaid episode was a put job I have no doubt. I also have no doubt that it was politically motivated, either by his likely opponents from within the Socialist party in France, his other Presidential opponents from other parties, or from a Euro faction in the IMF that felt he had outlived his use, or more likely wasn’t going to be accommodating as Lagarde. The important thing is though is that it was credible.

Obviously DS-K has a reputation about town as being a bit of a whorer. I don’t care about that, what I do care about is the attitude surrounding it, not just from DS-K but from other ‘dignitaries’ (and is there anything less dignified than carrying on in such a fashion?) both elected and in NGO’s. These people treat others like a commodity, and when they’ve got what they want then the ‘little people’ effectively cease to exist.

Whether it is politicians, economists, reps from FIFA or the IOC or a whole slew of other organisations, both private and public, it is a horrible way to treat people and is the reason why I hate pretty much every single one of them.

You didn’t know that they were prostitutes? Actually I can buy that, it’s worse, you probably didn’t even fucking care.

You and your ilk are rotten, hopeless, valueless, horrible excuses for human beings, and your club have the fucking gall to lecture me on what is right?

  1. It just goes to show what fools people can be to presume that those in powerful positions are there because they are so much more wiser and intelligent than ourselves.

  2. Yes, the idea that an attractive young desirable woman who could more or less have her pick would decide to have immediate, no-fees sex after only the briefest of talks and absolutely no suggestion of further contact of any kind with a lardy old git like DSK is,

…less likely. So the ones who shag you straight away Dom? Hookers. Or possibly rape victims.

  3. Hasn’t it occurred to this idiot that his claimed ignorance of the fact that they were hookers, is even worse than if he had arranged and paid for them himself? He imagines that it is acceptable to fool around with women he has only just met, with no thought for whether they are being paid, or who is paying them, or maybe who is taking photographs, makes him suitable for high office? I wonder how many blackmailers and foreign espionage agencies already own the guy. No way, he is a security nightmare.

  4. An excellent point Monty, I had settled purely on the man’s (and his kind’s) failings as a human being. Not for one moment did I consider that he is a huge security risk. Perhaps this explains the NY incident, removed, no harm done.

  5. Yes Wolfie, the NY incident may well have been pre-emptive damage limitation. If so, I’m glad they are doing it.
